AI Review Responder is a Chrome extension that generates AI-powered draft replies to Google Business Profile reviews. The extension sends review data to our backend server, which processes it using AI and returns a suggested reply.
What the extension collects
- Visible review text, author names, star ratings, and timestamps on supported Google review pages — collected only when the user opens the extension popup
- User preferences such as reply tone, business name, and additional guidance — stored locally in Chrome storage
- Paddle subscription or transaction ID if the user upgrades to Pro — used for license verification
- A browser fingerprint (derived from language, platform, and timezone) used solely to enforce the free-tier daily quota
How the data is used
- When the user clicks "Generate Reply", review content and tone preferences are sent to our backend API to generate a draft reply using AI
- Our backend forwards review content to a third-party AI provider (currently OpenRouter) for reply generation — no review data is stored on our servers
- License keys are verified server-side via Paddle to determine Pro status
- Settings are stored locally in Chrome storage and are not transmitted to our servers
- No analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party ad services are included
Data sharing
Review content is sent to our backend server and forwarded to our AI provider for reply generation. No review data is stored persistently on our servers — it is processed in-memory and discarded. We do not sell, share, or use review data for any purpose other than generating the requested reply.
Data retention
Daily usage counters are stored server-side (keyed by browser fingerprint) and expire at the end of each calendar day. No review content or generated replies are retained on our servers.
